Prevent Child Abuse Illinois continues to expand its Partners in Prevention corporate giving program. Establishing several new alliances and further developing a number of existing partnerships, Prevent Child Abuse Illinois has been able to move forward with a variety of projects.

Prevent Child Abuse Illinois recently honored its Partners in Prevention.

Abbott Laboratories has been invaluable to the work of Prevent Child Abuse Illinois since 2003. Its creative network provides various creative services, including theme development, copywriting, graphic design, and production, for several marketing efforts and public awareness campaigns.

State Farm Insurance Companies, a long-time partner of Prevent Child Abuse Illinois, has been active in many ways.  Most recently as a major sponsor in our biggest fundraiser "The Illinois Walk for Children" for more than 8 years had a State Farm Representative serving on our board of directors.

Caterpillar, Inc. has been an important supporter of child abuse prevention. Two years ago, its corporate foundation helped launch our important Shaken Baby Syndrome Train-the Trainer Workshop Series. This year, CAT was instrumental in the activities of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Prior to the April observances, Prevent Child Abuse Illinois produced and distributed the 2002 CAPM Community Packet. For organizations and groups of individuals interested in hosting Child Abuse Prevention Month activities in April, this packet contained ideas for community involvement, community contacts and resources, facts about child abuse, the warning signs of abuse, sample media release, sample newsletter article, and a reproducible bookmark. This necessary resource would not have been possible without the generous support of Caterpillar.


Target Stores is another long-time partner whose contributions have made a significant impact on a variety of Prevent Child Abuse Illinois projects. this year, Target provided the much needed funding to hold our 3rd annual Safe at Home Day with the St. Louis Cardinals.
